Peter from Carnival tours was a delight to correspond with, very efficient. 6 of us took this tour from our ship docking in Cochin. We were met by Peter and our guide and driver took us in an air conditioned mini bus to the Canals. There we were transferred to a small boat to get across to our houseboat. What an experience. We felt like royalty with drinks awaiting us and the largest bowl of assorted fruits for us. The cruise along the canal to see life on the water was wonderful and then we were served a super real Indian lunch as we continued to cruise along. On our return we were met by Peter and his father with a little bag and a gift for each of us. Truly one of our highlights of our 4month cruise. We did this tour on February 3rd and weather was perfect.

“backwater boattrip”

We had a wonderful backwater trip in Cochin in March 2015 Our guide was rhere and driver at 9amDrove to Alleppey which is 1. 30 hr depending on the traffic Got there around 10,30 and got on the boat for 3 hrs in the backwater called Venice of India Last year we did it on a houseboat this time on a shitara whiche seats about 8 people It was just the 2 of us which was great Our guide explained everything very well We stopped on th eway a ta small restaurant if you wanted to eat something or use the bathroom which was very clean Got back around 1,30 pm and drove back to Cochin and stopped at a place were they make cocosmats Very interesting Then we did some shopping in town and they dropped us back at the port. We had been there before so saw most of the stuff in townPeter the owner awaited us and gave us a small gitf which was a nice touchHighly recommend carnival torus and will use them again when we go back

Arranged the tour for a small group of senior citizens from cruise port. We all had a great time, including the wonderful lunch as we cruised the backwaters.
